Physical inspection
Operation inspection
Physical Inspection- While doing Physical Inspection, following should be checked and tested:
The engine should be properly checked and there should not be any dirt in it. There should not be any sign of leakage or corrosion. Air cleaning system and cooling system should be checked carefully.
Cab, stick, boom, and bucket should be inspected for presence of any kind of major or minor damages. There should not be any looseness between pins and bushing in the pivot point. The edge and stick of boom should not be twisted.
Track and undercarriage should be inspected carefully. Track should be free from broken metal plates. Sprockets and rollers should also be in good condition. Driver’s seat and roller frame should be free from crack and repairs.
Operation Inspection- Following should be done while doing operation inspection:
Starting of engine of the excavator after some warm ups
Demonstration of functions of stick, boom and bucket
Checking of the performance of the tracks
Checking the function of the swing system, which includes gears & bearing
